CITY 2009 sets leak?

We have been spotting some unreleased CITY LEGO sets on forum now and even Brickshelf. For example, there is a box shot of #7641 which actually loks great to me. Not sure whether is an empty box, but I'm sure some place got it real early. Below are the image from Kanal-K1 Brickshelf Gallery on this LEGO CITY #7641, box only of course, not sure whether he is going to open it or not.

Be sure to buy one when it is release to size up your own LEGO city.
For a few more shot, drop by HERE.

While on the other hand, someone has made a review of #8402 which is the small red car set. Eventually that poor guy got his car broke down.

Well LEGO company is very considerable company, they give the minifig a tree as a shelter to the hot sunlight =P. Thanks to rhdlb from Brickshelf we get to see the set.

For more pictures of this set, please drop by HERE.

#8184 Twin Extreme RC

It strange that #8184 Twin Extreme RC is still not available in Australia. But anyway, there are pictures of this completed model made available in Brickshelf already. For those who are interested with it might consider to take a peek at it at Holodoc's Brickshelf Gallery. Below are the image of completed model from Holodoc's Gallery:

So at last we manage to see the specialty of this set. But it seems nothing special to me as it just gives you extra wheel and chasis to change the type of car that you wanted. One good thing is that there is at least a variety of choice for you to choose from.

Star Wars comic #10 and #11 is up

LEGO is updating the comic pretty fast nowadays and I've missed the update on volume 9 which continues the unfinished story from volume 8. So no 2009 are involve in volume 9.

In volume 10 with the title Every Brick has a Beginning (has an end =P) continues with the story from volume 9. Again it's about the Death Brick that actually lead to a build of, you know what, it will show you in the end of volume 10. In this volume you can see AAT and Republic Attack Shuttle, but they are not in action and Plo Koon finally has his role here.

As for volume 11, it starts with a new story, which is the search for R2-D2. Volume 11 has a long title though but anyway, there are assassin droids and even clone walker been show in it and Republic Attack Shuttle finally is in action. Other than that we can see the Supreme Chancellor starts to be ahead of the Jedi in the search for R2-D2.

By the way they do update the home page of Star Wars after all.

Brickset Updated

Brickset has updated the site long ago, but recently they add the minifigs inventory for us which makes our life easier when it comes to counting your own minifig. Now Brickset will help us count the minifig we owned as well.

The features are simple, just tick which set you owned and the quantity you have of that sets and Brickset will do the counting for you. Well, at least you know roughly how many minifigs you owned.

Brickset is a very useful site, I guess it is well known for all LEGO collector. But for those starter you can always drop by and sign up to keep track of your collection.

Power Miners Short Movie

If you are looking for more Power Miners short clips, you can drop by at nick.com. There are a few clips available there and is different from the one at LEGO Power Miners website. I just like the clips as we get to see the clumsiness of the rock monster.

As for Malaysian, you might see that there is a short comic in the catalog and I guess you can refer to nick instead of LEGO to continue the stories.

Now we have a better pictures of the coming Space Police III images. LEGO company has made some changes with the box art background with a darker color tone which make them looks nicer. Is cool, the box art is nice compare to the one we see in the toy fair. Below are the images:

Castle Brick Master or Pirates Brick Master?

LEGO now is giving more choice to the subscriber of Brick Master magazine. Now there are Pirates and Castle to choose from, each of them have 2 minifigs and 130 pieces of bricks. They will be available on August. Below are the image extracted from Flickr:

LEGO is really smart, some hardcore fans will probably subscribe both the Brick Master magazine. But after seeing the picture, I would probably go for Pirates Brick Master, as it at least have something to see rather than a boring gurad booth again.

LEGO 2009 Release in Malaysia.

For Malaysian LEGO fans, LEGO Star Wars 2009, Farm set and even Pirates has hit the shelf. Although not all of them are available, but what's important is the popular set is already available here, especially Pirates Brickbeard Bounty and Soldier's Fort while Farm for the CITY.

Well yeah, is kind of shocking that we have the farm set earlier than Singapore, but it's cool, as most of the time we are slower than them.

As for Star Wars, they are all available, but I guess the price is increasing again instead of falling. Drop by at your nearest toy store to check them out, well this message probably are for people who live in Kuala Lumpur.

Most of you guys probably will drop by at Brickboy, go for the Mid Valley one.

LEGO Star Wars #7680 The Twilight 50% Madness

This limited edition set is finally on sales on LEGO Online Store for 50%. I guess we all can consider this deal as it includes us a lot of plates, very useful for those that would like to build a battle scene especially in supporting the imbalance droid minifigs.

Purchase it here.

For those who purchase it recently might feel a bit sad as the price drop a few days or week after you purchase it by 50% while for those who have not yet own this set might want to consider it. Seriously, this set is really worth getting now, you can easily sell off the minifig and have the ship for free.

LEGO Games

LEGO will launch their LEGO Games in August this year instead of releasing them next year that they had plan before this. There are this little figs that comes with the game. Below are some image extracted from Eurobricks and Brother Bricks:

Anyway, here is an article from Toy News Online:

Lego is launching a new constructible games range.

Lego Games will launch in August 2009 with eight games across a range of price points, from £7.99 to £19.99, each offering a combination of classic Lego elements, and a unique “buildable” Lego dice.

Both the board and dice are ‘built’ in the traditional LEGO way with the game concept constructed and enacted as an extension of the Lego build experience. Each game can be redesigned and reconstructed. Games can be adapted, using Lego elements to enhance and evolve the game play.

Designed to appeal to the existing core Lego fan base of boys aged six-plus, the Lego Games offering also extends to families who will be able to play together, and adults.

"Lego Games presents a unique opportunity for Lego to diversify into a new growth area”, said Kirstin Bates, Commercial Manager Lego UK. “By involving the player from the outset in the design, layout and method of game play, the products offer a unique and immersive play experience. This is a natural step for the company which recognises games as a natural fit into our brand portfolio, teaming creativity with a fun and constructible play concept.”

#10195 to be released 10th March

LEGO has adjust the release date of #10195 Republic Dropship with AT-OT, which is earlier than before. It will be release on 10th March, 20 days earlier than the previous confirmed date. So this means that, we have less time to save now. Anyway there are pros and cons for being release early, so that the wait is over.

Hopefully is not an error or glitch.

Drop by here to see the date.

Mini AT-TE in Brick Master

So there will be a mini AT-TE (All Terrain Tactical Enforcer) give away with the Brickmaster Magazine subscription. Of course, this AT-TE is Clone Wars version and it looks way better than the previous one. I guess this AT-TE will not be very small after all.

Looks like LEGO is creating more and more nice LEGO Star Wars mini scale model as a give away for Brickmaster Magazine subscriber. Actually the Venator Class Attack Cruiser itself looks very nice.

For those unlucky mini-scale collector who can't subscribe Brickmaster Magazine most probably can drop by at Bricklink to get a set for yourself when they are been given away.

Anyhow, that guy already took a few pictures of it and uploaded them in their Czech forum. Below are some images extracted from the site:

Although this set have sticker sheet, this set is still looks good. As above, we can see that the locomotive is kind of shiny. This sets seems nice as it has smooth shiny surface. Guess the train addicts will definitely get this set to complete their collection.

Agents 2.0

Agents 2.0 is the name of the upcoming Agents set. At first, I not really like them, but after seeing the functions, is worth to consider about the set. Well, you got to see it yourself.

#8968 River Heist
See it here

#8969 4-wheeling Pursuit
See it here

This set turn out great although is more or less the same with Mission 5. Too bad they never show us that green Inferno minifig. But the jeep (I suppose) itself turn out great, which s there are working suspension and of course LEGO favorite function, flick fire at the rear.

#8970 Robo Attack
See it here

As for this set, we know that there will be a number of minifigure being included especially the prey of Dr. Inferno's mecha. We can see that, the cockpit are not attached and it is some mini hover flyer that is use to escape after defeat.

#8971 Aerial Defense Unit
See it here

Some people like this set but not me XD, I do not like the design. Anyway, the twin rotor can spin when you push the a button at the tail of it. Other than that, there are this thread that can be lowered and lifted. Also the door that open sideways. There are a function that we do not know of too, which is the deployment of a small vehicle at the rear of this transport.

Sorry for no picture uploaded.

Upcoming LEGO Indiana Jones 2009

So I left out coverage for upcoming Indiana Jones sets. Well, Indiana Jones is still as interesting as the previous release sets. They all looks good to me as there are a lot of new minifig. Below are the details about them:

#7195 Ambush in Cairo
Piece: 79
Price: 10.99USD
Release: August

#7196 Chauchilla Cemetery Battle
Piece: 187
Price: 19.99USD
Release: August

#7197 Venice Canal Chase
Piece: 420
Price: 39.99USD
Release: August

#7198 Fighter Plane Attack
Piece: 384
Price: 49.99USD
Release: August

#7199 The Temple of Doom
Piece: 652
Price: 89.99USD
Release: August

I've got to say, I like all the sets except that #7198 Fighter Plane Attack. It looks nothing special to me. For #7195 Ambush in Cairo, I would say it has a lot of minifig, just like Star Wars Battle Pack, four minifig in a small set and quite a number of accessories included too.

As for, #7196 Chauchilla Cemetery Battle, we get a new color dirt bike, also include us with new minifigs and the Crystal Skull headpiece. So there is at least a chance for people to own one of this special skele head.

Well, for #7197 Venice Canal Chase the pieces seems to be more than #7198 Fighter Plane Attack but is cheaper than Fighter Plane Attack set, most probably the pieces are small. Besides, it has more minifigure than #7198 Fighter Plane Attack and all of them are new while #7198 Fighter Plane Attack minifig, you most probably already have them from Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase.

As above mentioned, you know that I do not like #7198 Fighter Plane Attack, but the design of the plane itself looks good. Guess is best for me to wait for a review being put up only judge it.

#7199 The Temple of Doom is nothing but a set of roller coaster tracks with traps. But anyway, with the new villain minifig you will forget about the cons. I was expecting something more from this set, something like the open hole that send the scarifice goodbye. But well, is a highly demanded set that collector are asking for and I guess it should turn out fine.
